Bandhas

Talking about bandhas in class today and their impact on positions like shoulder stand, jump through, bridge and boat.

Here’s a nice wee video of all that in action. Check out the first guy when he lifts his arms overhead at the start of sun salutation; hollowness just below the rib cage is uddiyana bandha engaged.

A new year…

A brand new shiney year :-). Here’s the timetable for the start of 2018

Monday 11.30 – 12.45pm Beginners Ashtanga, Aquatec Motherwell


Thursday 7 – 7.45pm Chair Yoga, Newarthill Community Centre

Friday 11.00 – 12.00pm The Hub, Motherwell, Mummy and Me (postnatal yoga)

Saturday 9 – 10am Beginners Ashtanga, Aquatec Motherwell

Saturday 10.15 – 11.15am Beginners Ashtanga, The Hub Motherwell
(this is a family friendly session)

Saturday 12 – 1.15pm Aquatec Motherwell Pregnancy Yoga

Sunday 10 – 11.15am The Hub, Pregnancy Yoga

Yoga in Motherwell

Really pleased that I’ve now managed to find a location to run all my private yoga classes. The Health and Wellness Hub is a fantastic charity that has a lovely space for our classes. You can now choose from a pregnancy yoga class, postnatal yoga class and family friendly yoga class all from one location in Motherwell.

Toddler Sun Saluations

I started offering the family friendly yoga sessions during the school holidays as a wee experiment and am loving the fact that they’re really now coming into their own.

This gorgeous wee girl has been coming to class for a few months and, despite the fact that in class she prefers to use her mum as a climbing frame, she’s obviously been picking up some yoga

Beginners Yoga Workshop in Motherwell
